Wildcard Scholarship Criteria
Without a Master's degree, you must apply for a wildcard scholarship. These are extremely rare. Do you meet at least 3 of these criteria?
1Undergraduate degree from a top 100 university (QS or THE ranking)
2Top 3 in your class in terms of overall GPA
3At least 1 Q1 journal paper (Web of Science ranking only)
4International/national awards and achievements
5Meet English language requirements (IELTS 6.5+ or equivalent)

With your current qualifications, competitive PhD scholarships may be difficult to obtain. However, the Master of Research could be an excellent pathway.
MRes Benefits for Domestic Students
Tuition-free for all accepted domestic students
1.5 years duration (can be 1 year with prior credit)
Combines research skills training with independent research project
Pathway to PhD with strong performance
Entry requirement: Bachelor's degree with 65% WAM (5.0 GPA)

Unfortunately, You May Not Be Competitive
Based on your current profile, winning a competitive Adelaide University scholarship would be very difficult.
What You Can Do
Build your publication record: Focus on publishing Q1 journal papers (Web of Science ranking)
Government scholarships: Check if your home country offers PhD scholarships for studying abroad
Consider MRes: The Master of Research could help you build research experience (fees apply for international students)
Alternative: Government-Funded Scholarship
If you have funding from your government for the PhD period, and your GPA is 75%+, I may be able to support your application for admission. See the "Other" option in the eligibility checker.
Great News - MRes is Tuition-Free for Domestic Students
The Master of Research is an excellent option for domestic students.
MRes Overview
Duration: 1.5 years full-time (1 year with prior credit)
Cost: Tuition-free for domestic students
Entry: Bachelor's degree with 65% WAM (5.0 GPA) or Honours with 65%
Structure: Research skills courses + independent research project
Pathway: Can transition to PhD with strong performance
You have financial support from your government for the PhD period
Your GPA is 75% or above
ARC DECRA Fellowship
The ARC DECRA scheme is extremely competitive. You should have:
10+ Q1 journal papers
A compelling research idea
